This is my [email protected] I tried to PM it to you but was not possible from my phone web and since my computer is still at the repair shop...again...have not been able to post pictures of the new progress. I have found a lot of pictures of these race cars in the internet, butnot much in particular interior, engine, trunk or chassis detail..so any new image will certanly be appreciated. Hope to have my computer back and running for next week so a couple of new pictures of this project be posted by then...I HOPE!! Fred |

Re: 1976 Broadspeed Racing Jaguar XJ-12 Coupe
I assume someone ownes one of these race cars? So ask them to take some pictures and such of interior etc. I emailed Porsche and asked for some pictures awhile back of a 959 Racer that ran in Lemans #80 and they sent them . Can't hurt. really Love this project. But I am a Jaguar racing car fan. More pic's please and thanks for answering my email. Mike

Re: 1976 Broadspeed Racing Jaguar XJ-12 Coupe
Superb work so far, the Broadspeed Jag is one of my all time favourite 70's ETCC racer's! I have a Provence Moulage 1:43 1976 version to do and a 1:25 scale one is much more impressive! The version you are building with the rear boot spoiler is the 1977 version and these only ran with the blue sides as shown in the poster (except for perhaps during testing?).
The restored version that is racing now is a 1977 version with the 1976 decals I think. I too have seen the restored car racing at Mallory Park recently and it was awesome! Unfortunately the original side exit exhausts are now only for show so we couldn't hear the orignal incredible noise but it still sounded fantastic! I took plenty of photograph's, I will see what I have of the interior etc for you! I notice the restored car is advertised for sale in the latest version of Motorsport magazine, you could buy the full size car! Good luck, and keep it going!

By the way, you should see the 1/43 scale super detailed model of this Broadspeed XJC using the AMR white metel kit been made by a French master modeler, it even have a scrachtbuilt engine....is mindblowing!!!!!!!!.....my big scale effort looks like a poor attemt at doing justice to this race car. Hope to some day be able to see the real car, it truly an impresive machine. |

Re: 1976 Broadspeed Racing Jaguar XJ-12 Coupe
It's great to see a model of this incredible machine - I saw the real thing being driven in anger many many years ago in Silverstone (showing my age now!) - wonderful to see the progress you are making - it looks great - looking forward to seeing the finished product,
Best of luck, Regards, Paul |

Re: 1976 Broadspeed Racing Jaguar XJ-12 Coupe
Hello everyone
Fred, many thanks for your comment about my work on Miniwerks. I have the same problem, i have not enough picture from the interior and the motor. My only documentation is the Classic Cars Magazine (july or august 2010 ?). I search Motorsport Magazine March 2010. I am on hollydays, if you want i can send you somes scans from CC magazine next week. When i begin my jag, i learn your topic ... very good work Jean Paul
