please tell me......
Is there a EASY way to remove the top nut off the rear shock
on a 1999 crown vic? very little room to work here. no way though trunk or seat to help out (I checked) any help is welcome.....and I thank you. |

We made our own wrench with a ratchetiong box end and welded a long metal handle on it. Makes it a little easier.

Thanks for the reply way2old. I did just that yesterday (used hose clamps) and it worked.
I also removed the tire so I could get in a little better. I paid for my shocks at a auto parts place and checked around to have them put on. $185.00 to $220.00 was what I had tossed at me. Now I saved enough to fill my tank. |

I ran into that same problem. Mine were seized on there enough that they had to be cut off. I took it to a local shop and they replaced all 4 for me for $50 labor. I provided the parts.
