Grand Theft Auto 3?

I read about it in this month's MAXIM, but I can't find any info on 3 major game sites. I even tried www.gta3.com because GTA2 had www.gta2.com as their site.
Looks kinda cool - according to Maxim. You get to drive in car, and be first player shooter.

Any info on it out there?

Update: Someone on my Vic site knew (I posted there too). He says its due out sometime in October, so within a month - we'll be GTA'ing again

GO BUY THIS GAME NOW!!!! This is by far one of the funnest games I have played in a long while! You start out as a guy who is left for dead by your girlfriend after robbing a bank. You get arrested and then get busted out. This is where the game starts. You can go around and do missions or just run around the massive city and cause chaos. You just run up to any car you want, including police cars, hit a button and BAM! you're in the driver seat. Watch out though because some people actually fight back or shoot at you. If you liked GT2's camera, you can still use the bird's eye view if you really want, but the game comes alive in the new 3rd person perspective. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think 1st person means you just see your arm sticking out of the screen with your weapon and 3rd person means you see your whole person running around. There are a lot of different types of cars you can drive, you can run people over, mug the hookers, the pimps, whoever. You're free to do whatever you want, as long as you don't do it in front of the police otherwise you'll have to take them out too. Anyways, that's too much I'm sure, but anyways, this game is great go get it.

Oh, and another thing, if you're health is running low, go get a car, pull up to a hooker, let her walk over to your car, she'll get in, go park in a secluded area and watch as your car starts shakin, your money goes down, and your health goes up. But that's ok though, when she gets out of the car, get out and beat her down and get some of your money back!!!

i loved playin GTA3 my friend has it i love the banshee it is the best car and the yazuka stinger.

Great game. I like the low rider with switches. Also I like to go cause chaos and get like 4 or 5 stars and make a stand=off somewhere.

Yeah, I love trying to make it flip over from a stand still, that's the best. I like gettting on a roof top with the gameshark on so infinite health and unloading on the cars coming up the street with the rocket launcher. It's fun driving around in the tank too!! As soon as you touch a car, they blow up!

Dunno if any of you guys heard but there suspending GTA3 indeffanatly because of its high violence content (referance to 9-11)... i know it suck for the people who dont have it yet, and for the people waiting for the PC realese... well im unsure about that one ill keep you all posted.

I really don't think there going to band GTA3, just like they did not band GTA 1 or 2. They are equally as violent as GTA3, just not as good as graphics.

GTA3 was banned in New Zealand and Australia already, and ths US version of the game was modified before its realease. There was a mission in the game where you had to crash into a building, but was immeditally cut when 9/11 happened.

They shouldn't have changed the game because of that, but since they did does it really matter now. I don't think they are going to banned it, other than that crash into building thing it's not a bad game, so they would be stupid to do it.

dude, learn how to speak english. ok, here is lesson # 1. when something is in the past, "called past tense" the word ban is turned into banned. You can't say they banned something in the future. Doesn't work that way. I think what you meant to say is "I don't think they are going to BAN it," Getting my drift?

You were obviously smart enough to figure out what I ment so stop your complaning. First of all I don't have a car, second of all i'm in the threads of games, not cars, so screw off. There are a lot of people who just like to talk about cars and then there are some who like to talk about cars and games, but I just like to talk about games. If you don't like it don't reply to my post. It's really not just a car forum, there are the threads for cars and the others, I like the game threads so f*() off.
