95 olds 3.1 sfi looking for all the Grounds
I'M looking for all the grounds!
Along the raditor support I think there are 4. At the back of the engine at the transmition there are 2 studs with alot of grounds. Battery ground to back of engine. Thats all I have really found so far! I thought there would be engine to body but did find any. Can any one help with this? |

I don't recall an engine to body. What are you trying to accomplish?

Re: 95 olds 3.1 sfi looking for all the Grounds
I had an intermittent no start. Turn key, all lights but nothing turning over. First thought it had to do with the VAT system, ie, resistor in the key not being read properly. Traced it to faulty neutral safety switch under the shifter. Also had to replace battery ground cable, corrosion under the sheathing.

Are car dont have the VATs system, if someone wanted to steal it they would have to bring a tow truck right now. What you said about the key being read by the system would be squied or out of sink if the intermittent happened when you first tryed to start,It would probely stay that way until next key cycle, did security light come on or flash? Re: 95 olds 3.1 sfi looking for all the Grounds
no security light. If you key has a small black plastic chip with a wire at the surface on both sides. That is a resistor, not a true "computer Chip". You can read the resistance with an Ohm meter. Found a guy on ebay who sells blanks pretty reasonable. You just measure your resistance and tell him what your reading was. If memory serves, think there are like 14 different keys. This doesn't need to "reset", it just completes the circuit.
