2002 1500 cargo 4.3L adding cruise?? or tilt wheel at same time?

I bought a good work van, but it has no options.

I would like to add cruise and tilt wheel at the same time. Is this just like any other vehicle where you mount the under hood module, plug it in to existing wiring, then changed the column out to one that has cruise? I would assume you could do that.

It also has manual locks, manual windows. The lock thing is kinda a pain. I have to lock and unlock all doors about 5 times a day. I suppose i cant just put that stuff in, the wires probrably arent there?

Now for the 4.3L , its leaking oil all over the place, is this usually the oil pan or front main seal?

It may or may not have remote lock module.
Have dealer run you vin for options stuff.
Oil leak first.
Oil can be many places.
Clean off old oil and have a Lock where the leak is.
Post back what you find.

Its leaking oil bad. Must be the front seal cause it looks to be thrown all over. But it could be the timing cover too, theres some orange sealer i can see that looks like someone tried to fix the leak.
So not reallly sure if its front seal or timing cover or both.
Do i have to remove the water pump to get the timing cover off?
If i pull it all apart i plan on using gm rtv (grey sealant) like i did on my northstar motor. Way better than that orange crap i found on there currently.
Heres some pics, i get 20 drops on the ground in about an hour so it needs fixing.

Good pictures but to find the leak.

You will have to clean/wash off old oil and run engine and then look for where is is leaking.

Let us know where it is leakin and then we an help you.

its was the front cover, all fixed up for a couple thousand miles now.....looks like the rear main is seeping now.....doesnt really drip on the ground though...

still debating the tilt wheel, just ordered and aftermarket cruise...

called all around for a tilt steering column with no luck, my vin states i have theft lock as well.....

To test for oil leaks you need to clean off old oil and add some leak dye to engine oil and run engine and find for sure where oil is starting to leak out of engine.

Oil on rear main area can be oil filter or oil sending unit oil cooler lines or oil filter base gasket leak or leak on top of engine running down to rear main.
Let us know how it goes.
Good luck.
