Re: Altezza Performance

if u live in america, the altezza isnt sold here, it's is the is200 and is300.
if u live in japan, i wouldnt know, i live in america, so i dont know any sites for it. as for performance, google altezza performance stats or something like that. i am unaware of any companies that have ever imported pure altezza's into america.
if u want more power, the top model has 215hp/218tq. i've heard of a supra engine fitting in, u could also try a celica engine, or a mr2 engine. the cars are kinda light, about 3200lbs, so 215hp does it good, but more is always better

Re: Altezza Performance

well i live in jamaica and altezzas are plenty out here. i personnaly like the styling of the cars but am sad because of the lack of true performance parts. when u told me of the 2JZ engine swap i started thinking of swappin in a SR20DET as a friend of mine has a spare one and i know that parts for those are common and easily obtainable, what do u think?

Re: Altezza Performance

as for ordering lexus parts for an altezza, my guess is email the people that run the site, chances are they would know if it's possible to to fit parts onto the altezza.
i wouldnt put a nissan engine in a toyota or lexus. good idea, but the base supra engine has the same power, and is probably cheaper. plus using a toyota engine parts are plentaful for the conversion, using a nissan eng, provided if it's even possible, would take some forcing in my opinion.
jamaica eh, my parents went there for there honeymoon, they said they've always wanted to go back, if they do i'm gonna def go, especially if there are real altezza's there. hell maybe i'll buy a house just so i can buy the car.

Re: Altezza Performance

hey, cant i just order the parts for the MR2 instead and put it in the altezza since they use pratically the same engine. just like how i could order parts for the 240S to put in the Silvia or the G35 in the 350Z.

Re: Altezza Performance

the altezza also had an I6 engine, the 4cyl might b the same, but the six was deff. nt in the mr2.
as for the other 2 swap idea's u posted, the g35 eng in the 350 would make no sense, they bot produce the same power, around 300hp. as for the 240sx and the silvia, unlike wat most people think, they are the same car. the only difference is the eng. the reason that nissan didnt put 220hp in the 240 was because of the 300zx base model, something they dnt have in japan, so it was logical over there. the bottom silvia has i believe the same eng as the 240sx tho.

Re: Altezza Performance

i think u misunderstood my question. since they both house the 3SGE engine, couldnt i use the MR2 as a means of obtaining parts for the Altezza?

wat do u mean, buy a honda accord instead of the is300/altezza. r u looking to buy a car like that, they really dont compare here in the usa.

the mk4 engine is a conversion that can b done. the i-6 that is available now for the lexus/toyota is a decendant of the na i-6 supra engine, detuned by like 5hp.

Re: Altezza Performance

Hey Matada. I have a Altezza Gita in Okinawa. The engine is a 1G-FE inline 6. I am looking for an air intake for it. Any ideas. Also, how do you find the pics of your car.?
Regards, Ryu.
