1999 VDP mileage
Hello,
Thank you for allowing me to be on this forum...now to my question....I am looking at a 1999 VDP with 97k miles. Providing excellent care for the vehicle, how many more miles can I put on it? Can this car (and its engine) go to 200K? The VDP is in Michigan..... Thanks in advance, Ric

I am no Jag expert (basically know nothing about them )
 But I know that much, you can put all kinds of miles on a properly maintained engine. As I understand these v8s possibly have two issues a. timing chain tensioner (plastic) gives off and causes all kinds of headaches b. it can develop a head gasket leak. Both issues are addressable as a maintenance/preventive measures. U decide btw, i suspect your body will give up b4 the engine croaks especially if it was always in Michigan
