Pontiac and Chev engines.

I currently have a 2001 Dodge Caravan....thinking about something newer.
Anyone have any specific views about the 2006/2007 Pontiac G6..Chev Malibu...that sort of area??
Wondering about the 2.4 and 2.2 litre engines......do they stand up well and have enough power for the body size?? I have never heard one way or the other about them.......................................
and would appreciate any information, comments, advice that anyone might have to offer.
many thanks

Re: Pontiac and Chev engines.

I know plenty of people who own or have owned G6's with the 4cyl and haven;t heard any issues with them. Power to body size is decent, but most that i know who owned the 4cyl eventually trade up to the 3.5 or 3.6 or 3.9 v6's. They have more of the "get up and go" that the 4cyl lacks.
