Best tire for an 84-Z

I just bought new torq thurst m wheels and now I need some 17 inch tires. I have an 84-Z28 and I don't know how wide of a tire to get (235/245/255)

I also don't know how wide of a sidewall would be best (45/40)

I am trying to stay away from getting a tire w/a sidewall so big it overcrowds the wheel-well

But I've never bought 17'' tires before so I have no clue what will look right

3 questions:

How wide do 235/245's look? Do they stick out a shit-ton?
Ho do your tire sizes look on your own camaros?

First we need to know how wide your rim is. is it a 17 by 8. . . .17 by 9?
