Seperating Plastic Plenum from Intake Manifold
Hi guys,
How do you separate the plastic intake plenum from the manifold? All of the bolts are out, but something is still holding it down. This van has 403,000 miles and I had a water leak and it needs a good cleaning. Thanks for the help Wayne Mann

Double check for any more bolts. Is there any slack between it and lower plenum? If so take push down on injector pin plug in housing and rise up on plenum.

Re: Seperating Plastic Plenum from Intake Manifold
Hi MT-2500,
Sorry for the VERY late reply. It had a leaking intake gasket. Replaced the intake gasket and no more coolant leak, at least for now. Wayne Mann

Thanks for posting back how it went. Did not get a chance to tell you and little late now . But the intake gasket can be replaced with pulling top plastic cover. Good luck

Re: Seperating Plastic Plenum from Intake Manifold
Thanks MT-2500,
I had to pull the aluminum intake as well as I had a few sticking lifters to fix, so I pulled every lifter out and cleaned them and now they work perfect. Wayne Mann
