2000 Venture Code P0405 & P0742
I got an OBD Scanner code of
P0405 which is the EGR Sensor and P0742 Torque Converter Is there an economical way of fixing these item in order to pass emissions inspection in Atlanta? I think both of these items are going to be a challenge! It was suggested to add fuel additive called "Guaranteed Emissions Inspection Pass" into the gas tank. I was told it will take care of all of this... Please submit any suggestions as to what to do. Thank you in advance. |

Re: 2000 Venture Code P0405 & P0742
P0742 will probably require a solenoid to be replaced in the transmission.
P0405 may be a bad connection on the EGR or a bad EGR possibly.
