clk 320 2003

hi guys i bought a clk 320 2003 ,car is a beauty great car ,just one problem ,when i gas up and get back on the road light for fuel starts blinking like as dough i am running out of fuel ,but when i shut my car off and restart a couple of km light starts blinking again any one come across that problem if so ,can any one help with tis please thank you
