02 626 random misfire

I just got an 02 626 at an auction. Everything is good except that when the car sits while in drive(like at a red light) it rumbles and vibrates. This only happens while in drive. I am going to change the coil ignition, wires, and plugs. (I was going to do it anyway). If anyone has some more ideas please let me know. Thanks. Oh yeah checked engine light code and it said random misfire.

Re: 02 626 random misfire

Don't assume a random misfire code is ignition related. It could be fuel related. Start with the basics. Check your fuel pressure and for good spark from your ignition.
Clean your throttle body too.
Was it a P0300 code?

I had a Pzero300 code once and it was my fuel pressure regulator. Do you smell fuel anywhere?

Re: 02 626 random misfire

I also heard that it could be a loose motor mount causing the vibration. No I don't smell any fuel. How can I check to see if its fuel pressure? I've done alot of different work on cars but I'm not too savvy on diagnostics with this sort of problem.
