Radiator Fan not turning

2000 Jeep Cherokee Classic with 160k. The radiator fan isn't turning. Do I just replace the fan, or is this indicative of something bigger? Also, is replacing a radiator fan something a novice without many tools can do?

Re: Radiator Fan not turning

I take it this is the electric radiator fan. Often, it's not the fan but the relay that has gone bad. Search the forum for fan relay, there will be several threads which discuss it and also tell how to fix it.

(Basically you hook up power to the fan, bypassing the relay...if it works, then the relay or wiring is bad.)
