Re: F1,s displayed at Motorshows

This image has been shared in a past thread, but I'm going to stick it in here as well.

I have no idea which event this was, where it was, or what car that might be. It's the only photo I've ever seen from this setting, and I've had it around for so long that I can't begin to recall where I found it. The filename is "pagina" which I would not have changed, and means "page" in Spanish - so perhaps that's a clue?

Maybe someone else looking in here will have the answers?

Re: F1,s displayed at Motorshows

I also have these from the Frankfurt Motorshow - "Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung 1999".

Pretty sure we eventually determined this was #037 or #038. I'm not at home to check against anything that would have the answer - just pulling in old files I've still got hosted. If no one beats me to it, I'll answer this question later.

Re: F1,s displayed at Motorshows

Yes Sami - you are correct.

mactotas - welcome!! Thanks for that information - I'm always pleased when I can file a previously 'unkown' F1 photo using new details of which car it was. Congrats on getting to see the car - we'd love seeing any pics you might have to add.

I will echo Le Man's comment - if you know or can find out anything about the F1 in this thread we would be immensely happy to hear word on its current condition and perhaps see more photographs if at all possible.

Re: F1,s displayed at Motorshows

If you have access to a digital camera, we'd happily settle for pictures taken of your photos from that show.

I've used that technique a few times myself as I also don't yet own a scanner.

Thankyou for your reply Mactotas,

Your English is very good and as a McLaren f1 fanatic you have come to the correct forum to share your interest.

The "Brown F1" is a unique chassis, with that colour and gold wheels. It would be nice to see how the interior was trimmed. Also confirmation on the chassis # would be a major plus.

If you hear or see of it, would you be so kind to post, Thankyou.

Re: F1,s displayed at Motorshows

Here's a few of my pictures from the Sky City Super Car show in Auckland, NZ in January 2009.... My first F1 experience!!! It was run as a prelude to the A1GP so had the Black Beauty there as well as an old McLaren Can Am racer, an Enzo, 430 Scud, Gallardo Spyder, AM DBS, Porsche GT2 etc etc. Best car show I've seen here.
