Red face 05 Malibu factory radio - adding MP3

I have an 05 Malibu Maxx LS with a single CD, no cassette, no satellite, AM/FM radio.

I've been trying to decide the best way to hook up my MP3 player to the radio (it is not an iPod!). I've tried FM modulators but living in San Diego with all these radio stations it's nearly impossible to get a clear channel, plus the quality just isnt that great. I considered buying a new receiver with an aux jack in the front, but then I lose the DIC (which is really freakin handy, IMO). Besides, for about the same price I would pay for a new receiver I could get this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...=STRK:MEWAX:IT

My question is, has anyone else used any of these options or a product similar to the one I linked to above? Are there any products you would recommend?

Yes those P.I.E. auxillary boxes are a good way to do it. I installed one that had one input for a MP3 on my Dad's '03 Impala. It gives good sound quality but you may have to turn up the volume since the MP3 output through the auxillary isn't really high powered.
