88 MX 6, 2nd Slave Clutch-teenage driver

1988 MX 6, 5 speed. ..new teenage driver got car Nov 07, we just replaced slave cylinder for the second time - exactly 12 months later to the day! First time, we expected due to rookie driver learning curve. 2nd time, hmm... Is the driver at fault or are we not maintaining something? Is our mechanic missing something? The part was warranted but not the labor. FYI, the clutch master cylinder was also replaced approx 6-10 months ago. Teenager is worried he is doing something wrong, although after 1 year he has developed signifigant shifting finesse.
I read about the Flywheel possibly needing sanding could this be a possibility?
Be honest, but gentle please.

Re: 88 MX 6, 2nd Slave Clutch-teenage driver

slave/master cylinders are just a pain... yes the flywheel could POSSIBLY need sanding... but not very likely...

i have had my mx6 for four years... and have went through two slave cylinders in that time... or well three.... the one that came stock on it...

then an aftermarket

and now i'm on my third...

they're just things that go out
