Exclamation Auto Light Feature on Peugeot 406

Hi, I use a Yr 2000 Auto Peugeot 406. I am advised by a friend that on this car we can activate the 'auto headlamp'(when the car goes thru a dark area for the lights to turn on automatically) feature. The sensor is also available on the car dash board. It is apparently not activated because only on the 'executive' models it is activated where as mine is a GLX. Anyone who could help me find out how this could be done is greatly appreciated.Should the activation be done on the BSI or else???

Please advise as I am a techno freak and would like to have this feature enabled.

Thanks,
Dilshan

Re: Auto Light Feature on Peugeot 406

Hi there
If your vehicle is equiped with auto lights you can enable it as follows, turn the ign' key to position one (not key fully on all dash lights) and press the button on the end of the left stalk (indicators) for 4 seconds you will hear a chime and a message in your multi function display auto lights active :-)
the sensor is on the screen just under the interior mirror its the same sensor for auto wipe !!
