Amp?

I just bought my car from a previous owner and they have an Audiobahn A4004T amp in the car, sound system sounds good but I'm looking to add some subs to it, was wondering if i kept it what my sub limits would be or should i just get a new one then add subs?

Re: Amp?

that amp is not a "powerhouse" for subs. I would think about getting something like a monoblock amp or something a bit more powerful then a 50X 4 amp.

my suggestion

buy new amp/subs

use the 4 channel for your speakers in your car.

Re: Amp?

audio is such a touchy subject.

But if you want something that sounds good, I recommend Alpine for their amps and especially their subs. Their subs are of great sound quality and when you buy one of their 400 watt amps, you are getting a 400 watt amp.

Dont buy JL, too expensive, and isnt that great. Another good, cheap sub is suprisingly Pioneer. Their amps are garbage though.

DB Drive is a cheap brand that has great amps. They also put out their advertised power. Havent really messed with their subs though.

I wouldnt buy memphis....havent had good experience with them, plus they dont even really sound good. The only thing they have worth a damn is the old school M3's.

You said you had an audiobahn amp, I havent messed with anything of theirs except for the olllldschool Flame Q's.....and they are awesome subs.

But 400 watts is actually alot of power. but im sure that that audiobahn amp doesnt put out near 400 watts.

Well, ....I kinda just rambled on, but hopefully something I said will help with your decision making.

Re: Amp?

Any specific Amp and subs i should look at from Alpine, I'd probably head to Bestbuy to get them unless you know of somewhere cheaper
