90 not starting

i have a 90 buick riviera and it doesnt start. i have checked the pass system and it doesnt eem to b causing the problem. fuel pressure is good. i removed one of the spark plugs ad tried to start the vehicle to make sure it had spark but nothing. any ideas why i wouldnt be getting any spark? the vehicle was being driven when it just died. i assume it died due to lack of spark.

any ideas would be great.

Welcome to AF, no spark and no injector pulse can be caused by either the ign control module under the coils or more likely the crank sensor, access to a scanner will allow you to check for cranking rpms, also check the wiring from the cps to the icm.

Re: 90 not starting

have you checked see if you got spark on the coils or coil pack i no you said you pulled plug out. now if your getting spark on all plugs? i would go for the module. and like mod says could be you cps.

Re: 90 not starting

The same thing happened to me and it was the Crankshaft Position Sensor. I found this out after replacing coil packs, ignition module, and camshaft position sensor.
