rear leaking antifreeze

I have a 1996 Plymouth gran voyager engine is 3.3L and a have leak rear passenger side right on the back of the tire I just to what is wrong if anyone can help me

I would say it is a leaking wheel clyinder for the brakes or brake line leaking. When you say back of tire I assume you mean the side facing under the vehicle. Take the tire off and then the brake drum you will see if that is the case. Look at the Online Service Manual thread and do as stated and it will explain the process for removing brake drum and compotents.

Let us know the fix.

If it is anti-freeze it may be the coolant recovery bottle that is leaking.

Put a pressure pump on it to find the leak.It could be the rear head gasket too.

if there is coolant back there you must have rear air, thus there are coolant hoses going back there and one prob. just broke.

I check the hose and it look good i'm going keep cheking thank you is not the brake because it has rear heater and air maybe is seal or something else

Check your rear heater core for leakage. Go to the free online service manuals, it shows where to check the heater core.

I check is the rear heater core that run from the from to the back do you know how to change beacuse I have the part is a long line but where end of the line that goes inside the van is like a brake do you how to take that off I Know how to get it from the other end. thank you again.

I have a 97 grand caravan with rear heat & ac. There are 2 seperate lines for the engine coolant and 2 lines for the Air Conditioning R-134/freon...a supply & return line for each system. You are seeing leakage from the rear heater lines. My rear heat leaks ever so slightly and mostly when it's cold outside rather than hot.

Anyway when I looked at mine it appeared that the leaking was coming from a metal factory crimps on the rubber hoses just ahead of the L shaped fittings. You should be able to see where the hoses and fittings are... right in front of the passenger side rear wheel. What I did was to put stainless steel band clamps around the crimps and tighten them down as best I could. It seems to have worked...but I do think that I get a very small amount of leakage iin extemely cold weather. My leakage is so minor and never seems to happen in the warm months that I have installed the clamps and watched the coolant level and so far so good.
