Re: 2005 GZox Zeta

Thanks guys: I tried the Motochrome in the Z roof. Looks like I need more practice, mainly with the Motoclear that I found not so decent... BUt do experience with a stuff that cost 36 usd of 25cc is something that won't help my mind healt

TS14 Black trough AB, sanded with micromesh 6000 and polished, no wax for now. Masked for the chrome.

The Motochrome. I found good for the chome the pressure they advice (20 PSI), not so for the Motoclear: this need to be reduced to me. The first coat is awesome, but the second fall down any chrome appeal: this is after 2 coats. Looks a decent silver plated, like I need, however LOL

And the disaster: the unpolished clear: I must say that I done a test polishing a small area and I feel it much better.

Like you see I lost any reflex. I'll take my precious reflex back with some polish

ciaoo!

Re: 2005 GZox Zeta

What sort of paint is it Gio? Is it lacquer - does the clear interact with the base coat? I thought it might be an idea to try acrylic clear over chrome to prevent that, but not sure if it would help preserve the "chrominess" or not.

Re: 2005 GZox Zeta

Decals almost finished: they're ok but designed for the '04 unmodified model... so a lot of cut+paste: a bit different that the digital way....
You'll also see one of my next quick build

Interiors done. I used several CF patterns, from SM (the best to me), KA, Crazy and some other CF pattern done with a steel masking grill. I done cooling duct done with the "James Tremblett's tip" (or was Tonioseven the guy that created the way?anyway a guy with the "T" LOL) with spring and acryl, my reccomendation is just use the same day or it would broken trying to fold. Electronic connector with various brass and silicon pipes. Seatbelts by Tamy, from the Z detail set. Enjoy

The part in the circle was painted silver, masked with liquid mask and sprayed black trough a mesh. I added also an extinguisher and the steel cover.

Seat painted gloss black, masked and painted with a thick matt black over a thick grey, both Lechler, with low and then hi+far pressure to achieve a kind texture. Than I decaled the back.

cage+ dashboard: I add some detail over the decal in teh dashboard

Roll cage mounted

I previously cu out door panels that formed a "pool" with floor: so I easily painted glossy black and decalled, that I mounted at last.

Not far to finish....

Re: 2005 GZox Zeta

What an amazing interior. If I didn't know this was an automotive forum, I would almost think it was from some kind of jet. Not all the pics loaded for me, but enuff did to leave me speechless. That small electronics box is fantastic as is the part you made with the liquid mask. It's works of art like this that is my fave part of looking at wip's.

Re: 2005 GZox Zeta

what are you using for the cooling duct clamps. Is the tape of some sort?
