2001 Bravada brake issues!

Hi all, I posted on here before and found it helpful so here i go again....

I am having random brake issues with this beast, have had it looked at by the dealership and they say everything is fine.....everything is NOT fine. Any suggestions would be wonderful.

A couple times a week (seems random) while preshing the brake, the vehicle will not stop and it makes a god awful noise. It almost feels like something is stuck inbetween something in the brakes and the pedal, because it will not go down all the way, after applying very hard pressure and pumping the brakes it seems to snap out of whatever it is doing and work properly. The noise is like a loud whine with a grinding that sounds like a very hard spring vibrating. This happens both when it is nice outside on a dry road and when it is slippery so i know it is just not my anti-lock brakes.

Any ideas, has this happened to anyone else? could it just be a sensor? Thanks!

Sounds like the abs is activating in uncalled for situations. A full scan with an abs function scanner should reveal a possible faulty abs wheel speed sensor that fools the system into thinking one wheel is skidding.
