Radiator stuff

Okay, I'm thinking of getting a new radiator for my 98 xj 4.0. Last summer I did a coolant flush on it, 3 flushes and there was still gunk in the radiator. I also cleaned out the the resevoir bottle, and that had about a baseball size of mud and crap in it. It has been about 4000 miles since I did the flush, and the resevoir bottle has filled up again with gunk and stuff. I thought about power flushing it with chemicals, but figured I might just get a new radiator. I was looking at getting a 3 core. Any ideas where I can get one fairly inexpensive? I found a place here that would install a 3 core and new coolant for 250, this includes all the labor. Let me know. thanx

Check out the 3-row CSF radiators - get a hold of Dirk from dpg offroad. He will set you up.

Great personalized customer service.

Re: Radiator stuff

There are a buncha Radiator Sites on the net........too many to list here.I swapped my closed system to the open and found the rad I needed(box said GDI 3 core) at a local Auto Zone...this was bout 3 yrs ago.
Lifetime warranty.....as is the waterpump....which I changed out even though the other was working .........
New heater valve..@$15.99
New Rad.............@$142.00
New upper Hose...@$25.00
" Lower " ...@$25.00
Total may be a little higher as compared to 3 yrs ago,but the same results, temp guage very rarley gets past maybe 220.
I also wired the elec. fan to a switch(always hot) so I can turn it on if needed
if you do get a switch USE A LIGHTED ONE AND MOUNT IT WHERE YOU CAN SEE IT...trust me on this
