98 Radiator size question - Mexico / USA
I am replacing my radiator on my 98 SOHC w/air. The VIN starts with a 3.. so I know the car was built in Mexico. However, the radiator for Mexico-built cars does not seem to be the right one. (The mounting brackets for the fans are in the wrong place.)
My question is.... is it possible that the car takes the Radiator for the USA built cars, even if the car was built in Mexico. I would appreciate any info. Thanks !!!! |

Re: 98 Radiator size question - Mexico / USA
Since your Neon had to be built for the American market in order to be sold/used in the U.S.A. , I would assume it takes the same radiator as was used on other Neons in the U.S. There could possibly be a different radiator made for the Neons that were made in Mexico for the Mexican/Central American market only. The versions made for that market didnt have to meet all of the U.S.A. federal emissions and safety standards, so they dont have all of the same parts under the hood.

You can use a "USA" radiator. It will work just fine. www.radiatorbarn.com has a good selection.
