106 Whirring Sound!

hi,

I own a K reg 106 which has began to whirr (sp?!) when i change gear, especially between 3/4/5th gear. has an echoey sound to it and only occurs at 30mph+ when the clutch is pressed or when no pressure is put on the accelearator. the sound doesn't happen when below this speed. The noise doesn't occur straight away, starts about 10mins into a journey then continues til the car stops!
