Installing a chevy 350 in a 94' cherokee
I'm looking for info, web sites, forums, etc. about installing a 350 v8 in a 1994 jeep cherokee country. The plan includes a lift, 33" swamper's, gears, 350 engine, and I would like to keep the 5 speed manual trans & transfer case.

Re: Installing a chevy 350 in a 94' cherokee
Hi-ya Carlson... Welcome to the forum.
-1st off have you considered the much more supported option of building a stroker instead? ie- 4.6L, 4.7L... etc. -here's a link on strokers:http://www.jeep4.0performance.4mg.com/stroker.html -here's one on V8's:http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=42733 Give some more details... I'd be more than interested in some of your ideas. ~Good Luck |

And here's a site where you can purchase the engine. 260hp. Much easier to fit a 4.0 in where the 4.0 was before...and you'll get about the same power.

Re: Installing a chevy 350 in a 94' cherokee
I have seen a couple of converswions done on s10 blazers with the small block and they all seem to run into the same problem with cooling and suspension...
I am not being a wise guy but isn t the 4.0 liter enough? I have a 96 with 145k and that thing is really snappy and it gets almost 20 miles to the gallon... I was just wondering becasue I have always heard the 4.0 is pretty much bullet proof Good luck |
