The truly great scan thread started by Sauc3

Alright post number one of what should be a fair few. I have recently acquired several copies of 90s Road & Track magazines containing F1 articles. Here is the scan of the first, as printed by a photographer travelling the world photographing the top car of 15 manufacturers, including the F1. Only one page on this, but still work sharing.

Enjoy this for now, the thread will be updated from time to time with fresh scans, and i should re-do this one also as it has a little movement and doesn't have the full sharpness of my previous scans.

Enjoy.

Re: Road & Track Scans

Yeah - it takes him about 3-days per scan. You might ask why, but really I'd suggest you don't interrupt the master at work.

I'll bite. Why does it take the "master" 3 days to do 2 minutes of work? Did I miss something on a different thread?

Actually it's more a matter of 3 things:
1. Time I have available and am willing to spend.
2. Quality of scans, and unfortunately lack there-of of my computer.
3. I like to keep my magazines in the best quality I can, so I am very careful in positioning and maintaining them.

All in all they take some time. Especially that number 1 part.

1998 January Top Gear magazine.
(OK so it's not Road & Track, I came across this while reading one of my old TGs.)

Enjoy.

Re: Road & Track Scans

Anybody have the scan from a few years ago of #038 racing against a 959 and an F40? I think those were the two it was racing against...Patrick Hong did an excellent job on that article.

Do you know the magazine and date? I might be heading to a motoring bookstore with over 200,000 magazines in stock in a couple days, so I'll keep my eye out for it.

Re: Road & Track Scans

Thanks Daan - the scans that were in circulation of that article were not the greatest.
