mondeo 1.8i 16v petrol 1994 wont start

please help.... my mondeo just rolled to a halt... it now only fires on just two cylinders 1+4, i have changed the coil twice and still the same fault.... it will run but very lumpy.. it can drive, but puts a lot of strain on the engine... so is sat on the drive at the moment... the plug leads seam ok as i have swopped them around and the spark is ok.... i have run at night and can see no spark leakage.... and ideas/help would be great....
