87Sprint

Ok, here it is.

There was a 1987 sprint in my garage that has been sitting there for 6 years now, me and my dad decided to work on it for a project.
Its not going to well, here is what happens, we got it running, but when you press the gas pedal down and hold it in one place the car dies, the only way it stays running is if you pump the gas pedal or if you just let it idle, and you cant exactly drive everywhere pumping the gas.
Any suggestions?

Fuel Pump
Fuel Filter
EGR

We were going to try buying a carb kit next.

sounds like the accel pump in the carb is bad rebuild the carb.....should fix the problem
