Plus, my front pillars broke!

I dunno, should I give up, or restart?

Oof.... it PEELED when you sanded? Or do you just mean you sanded through to the primer?

Re: WIP: 73 Dodge Challenger

long time no see
first of all, thanks for comments for my projects. I started to build "gone in 60" '73 challenger. I used arii too.
druid, your challenger is really really beautiful. that should be great!

suicidehummer, arii challenger's weak point is pillars. I've broken pillars of arii challenger before. it's really easy to break pillars of arii challenger.
maybe, it cause of openable doors....

horrible pic.....

I dunno, your call. It's never "too far gone," just sand it down again, or strip the paint and do it over, whatever you wish. Make sure wherever you're painting is warm (not hot,) dry and preferably no wind. If you're using laquer, lay 2-3 mist coats about 15 minutes apart, let them dry for over an hour, then lay one good top coat. Come back the next day, sand it with 3600 grit, lay another top coat. There's lots of tutorials online here and BMC, and others, everyone's technique is different.

Re: WIP: 73 Dodge Challenger

Well, I was gonna take pics, but I ended up getting the new
Iron Maiden CD, Plus I forgot.

Caprice: Hey, how's the challenger going? Any progress? I
don't think druid will finish his challenger, it's been sitting too
long. I'm sure the openable doors played a part in this.

Sand it down more? Sorry if i didn't tell you, but it ripped
to the primer! Should I repaint? I Used testors spray primer,
so that made severe orange peel. At this point, I just want
it to be done with. I started this in March.

Well, I will finish my Challenger but I'm not sure what year will I be finishing it . The major setback is because I have to rebuild the interior back because I removed the battery compartment which is hediously huge in there.

Re: WIP: 73 Dodge Challenger

I just stripped the paint using this great new thing I found at my LHS, it's called "Scalecoat II Wash Away" It says it takes 10 minutes to strip the paint, but it took me about 1 hour. Nonetheless, it's much much quicker than CSC. It says before recoating to use "Shieldcoat," I most likely don't need it, but what do you think?

Pics later today.

Niether.
Like I said, It's pulling apart.

I've got the super glue, but I don't have the time.
We'll just have to see.
