Lets get one thing straight, I did no rigging of anything attached to RD. Had I rigged anything, I at least would have rigged it so that it freakin worked. That being said... I think babs might be right. RD's starting to look more wore down than the only female employee in a viagra plant. ![]() |

You know, whenever you think you're in a jam, you can always go "atleast it isnt RD.."Just kidding, but I think that car will be the death of Jim.

Re: 454 and its all chromed out
Well... There's some stuff going on in the background that's delaying RD's progress. It'll get done, but I'm not expecting to fire it up until may of next year.
By then though... She'll be one BADASS maro. Redoing interior is not fun, but necessary. Thank GOD I took this welding class. |

Ha ha ha... go ahead and laugh, you bunch 'o bastards. Dylan... I'm honestly starting to believe that I'll be blind, wearing diapers and drooling all over myself by the time I get this thing done. (Maybe I should sell it and buy a bike.) ![]() (EDIT: I should have realized the wisdom behind your four year time frame... it appears to be well thought out and right on fucking target... god damn-it. You only forgot to mention the budget for this project, which I have just determined using a proven, scientifically accepted method of estimation... the original cost + whatever you THINK you're going to spend, add 45% and then square it.) (EDIT EDIT: IF I don't start getting some progress on this mess, I'm gonna pull a "Christine" on it.) |

Re: 454 and its all chromed out
I still have to find that thread
![]() But, yeah, I've seen it happen WAY too many times, something with the project goes a stray, then something else happens around the house, and it's off to the back burner. That said, now there's 2 ways this will turn out. Either 1) It will be done when your'e receiving your invocation to Geriatric Park, or 2) The wife gets tired of all the crap laying around and the useless metal cacoon blocking 2/3 of the garage and demands it gone or no nook-nook for you and you better have a big dog house for you and Earl until it's sold. ![]() Now, my local version of you (Ken) when we lived across the alley from each other, had come up with this when the women would get mad and in hysteria at us for being out in the garage all night, turning wrenches, then take a few hours off to stare at the project and come up with a plan of direction, which requires consuming a few (case worht???)of beers, man law. Our response was, "atleast we're here, you know where to find us, and you know what were doing or really supposed to be doing. If you'd prefer, fine, we'll get rid of the cars, take the money that we put into them and just go out bar hopping all night where you won't know where we're at or what we're doing" |

2. It's MY garage, she's got no jursidiction over it or what happens in there. And if she starts putting up a stink... I just remind her that SHE gets to buy the furniture and stuff in the house and picks the colors for all the rooms and like 99.9% of the time I say NOTHING. I only put my foot down when gets a little overzealous and wants to spend my Maro money on stupid shit like... food or something. I also remind her that I do all the work (painting, finish basement, build deck, etc) while she sits on her sweet ass drinking coffee, gabbing on the phone or watching some dumbass love movie. IF, after I finish one of those tirades which usually end in me screaming and hollering and not talking to her for a few days, she still complains, I hand her a toolbelt, drill, and a hammer and walk away... she usually gets the point by then. Totally with you on the last one... I'm either drinking in the house or in the garage because I refuse to pay for beers at a bar when I have plenty at home. Hey no problem, you want me to come inside and after I get liquored up honey? OK, just make sure you're not wearing anything too expensive, because It's coming off one way or another when I get upstairs.... Depending on the response I get, I'll either continue in my exercises of futility in the garage, or go upstairs and take care of business and THEN go work in the garage. |
