Fuel? Gas Gauge? Pump or something else
i'm back again with another question. 1989 Camaro Iroc for reference
I had the problem with the gas gauge flying up to the top and staying there, well the other day as the car was turning a corner, it sputtered like it wasn't getting gas, then the gas gauge was flying all over the place, finally settling on empty..........last time full, this time empty. It continues to sputter when turning, but does it a little while driving straight. So any ideas, fuel pump, sending unit?? any idea someone mentioned electrical but I don't see how that can be.........am I wrong? thanks for your help once again |

Re: Fuel? Gas Gauge? Pump or something else
it is the fuel pump. They are usaly the fuel pump and sening unit all in one. The parts should only cost about $100-$125.

Re: Fuel? Gas Gauge? Pump or something else
could be electrical too.. the pump could suddenly lose power on/off like an open circuit or something

For the giggles of it too, don't forget about the FP/ECM fuse up on the right fender, could be a wiring or contact issue there too. |
