Re: mustang vs civic

The only reason I see you beating the S2000 is you got him while he was in his highest gear and lowest rpms and didn't shift out of it.

The civic race could have gone either way really. I took my friend civic easily, but then again, he also missed third while I was still taking 2nd up to ~70. Yay for auto & gearing.

Re: mustang vs civic

i just have to add my here, about nothing in particular....

the autos in v6 mustangs rob power like you wouldnt believe, the 5 speed is way faster. get a 99+ with a 5 speed and its a mid to high 15sec car.

secondly, despite what some of you have said... a civic ex of any year has absolutley no chance of beating a 99+ mustang. period. most of you have experience with v6 mustangs you talk about beating when it was a 145hp automatic from 95. its not the same car. and oh yeah, new flash, a BMW Z4 with a 2.5l engine is not fast.

now that thats cleared up. buddy if a guy pulls off and he is ahead of you, you lost! you didnt win. you are not in a sanctioned racing event on the highway, what matters is who is ahead. so no you didnt kill an s2000. what you need to do is get some 4.10 gears and a zex wet shot and a detroit tru track. then your car will be a lot quicker.

Re: mustang vs civic

no one said s2000's or z4's were fast, it's just that a v6 auto mustang is a lot less fast.

Re: mustang vs civic

Yeah, I once beat a F-355 in my GTC. Granted he was exiting the freeway, but I have the video to prove it!

I still don't believe that there is any way you beat a Z4 or an S2000 and even the Prelude is shady, depending on the year and model.

My girlfriend beat 2 vipers with her 4 cylinder Grand Am...true story. They pulled off 6 exits before we did. Panzies.
