Re: do i need power steering?
I am not sure what parts you could add that would require losing your PS.Lots of 1st gen Mazda paikups did not come with PS so no you dont need it, but the truck is not very pleasant to drive without it.Bolt-ons for more power would be better ignition(Accel or equivalent),a better carb (try a Webber 34), a B2600 radiator with and electric fan (lose your old fan and clutch),Flowmaster or equivalent free flow muffler.BJ

Re: do i need power steering?
Rad is direct bolt up.You will lose the weight and inertia of the stock fan and fan clutch. You will need a heat sensor to turn the fan on which is temp sensitive . Possibilities are endless, probe fastened to rear of rad, tee off the temp sending unit, or the fan mfg. probably has all sorts of solutions , that is an easy fix. BJ

Re: do i need power steering?
Bump. Sorry. The replacement fan is electric and not driven off a belt, and will need to be bolted to either the front of your radiator (if you have no A/C) or the rear of rad if you do.It will need a power source. The 2600 rad is a complete unit with more cooling capacity.BJ
