Re: immigrants protesting

This certainly good news on the war against illegal immigration:

http://www.cnn.com/2006/LAW/04/19/immigration.raids/

We need alot more of these busts.

It figures Xero and I am not surprised. Illegals are not a drain on society or the system. (Said facetiously). Just a bunch of good ole Hombres looking for a way to feed their families......lol.

Re: immigrants protesting

Ya Bob I didnt think Our Government, local or otherwise, would anounce on TV or the radio that, "Hey were just going to arrest all illegals and take you home".

Shit they'd never find the bastards

Re: immigrants protesting

I am Hispanic American, my family is from Peru and I am a first generation American.
Do you think I will join those protesters? HELL NO!
I am American and I would NEVER place another flag above the Red, White & Blue. After learning how many American soldiers died so that those de-de-dee's could protest the LAW royally pisses me off.
How many crackhead educators are encouraging/ indoctrinating our children into thinking America (read: Bush or any other white, Christian male) is evil? To see those kids out there is sad!
I can understand allowing people to come work here for a few months out of the year and then RETURN to country of origin. Maybe even a 'preferred' spot in line if good work/ good behavior for a certain number of years.
Let's face it. There are number of jobs that Americans aren't willing to do. I mean mostly the low-paying, physically difficult agricultural or 'low brow' work. A lot of those jobs are seasonal anyway. Even the welfare losers won't do it.
But to piss on America's right to control immigration into her own borders is crap! Every time I see those protestors I think the educational system has been thoroughly taken over by the bleeding heart left-wingers.

If you all think there is a solution, write your congressperson.
There is a little secret in politics. For every hand written letter they receive, they consider that letter to represent 10,000 people. I proved the power of this when I asked a left wing, pro-socialist, liberal Congresswoman to support the F-22 Raptor fighter jet program in writing. She not only replied but actually voted pro-military! It works so if ya'll think this topic is worthy.... get out your pens & paper!

The only real problem is that they are low paying. Roofing is more physically demanding on your body especially during the summer months but they pay good. Almost any kind of construction for that matter especially in the south. And alot of them are seasonal as well.

That says a thousand words right there. but they get shit for free they dont want to do nothing. We need to tighten up the whole welfare thing as well to where people want to work and not sit on their asses all day.

Re: immigrants protesting

I dont understand why they're protesting? They're the ones whos breaking the law. My parents entered this country the right way, the LEGAL way. I expect them to do the same and instead of hopping boarders or overstaying here with an expired Visa. I can't believe how many ppl are out there protesting something they're doing wrong.

Re: immigrants protesting

Well, here we go again. Curious to see how May 1 turns out. Full amnesty for all illegals?? Give me a break and they can kiss my rear end.

"But some Latinos have expressed ambivalence about the boycott and marches, saying they could stir up anti-immigrant sentiment amid an incendiary atmosphere surrounding the issue."

Now that is an understatement. ^^^^^

Yea, so I'm sure it didn't have much of an affect. Just look at this quote from the link above and start to laugh:

Quote:
"We shopped (Sunday) so we don't have to worry about it (Monday)," said Maximo Martin, who supports the boycott. "I hope immigration can see that we really support this country."
