Re: race spots and meets

Gale, huh? You talking about the part of Gale west of Azuza? I would think it'd be kinda hard to race in front of the car dealerships and retail stores, which lay east of Azuza...lol.

Anyways, another good place to race would be in Pico Rivera, where I live. There's street called San Gabriel River Parkway off of Beverly Blvd., right on the border between Whittier and Pico Rivera. This is right off the 605 freeway.

And if anyone is brave enough, a very good place to race is Turnbull Canyon.

Re: race spots and meets

you can always hear people racing on el camino real right near me in north carlsbad ...

my fav. spot in high school was from college heading north on el camino real to Cannon Road. From the golf course to Cannon its completely straight, smooth and flat; probably a quarter mile or so, could easily hit 110 by Cannon and slow in time for the rise/curve .. but now there's traffic there since they put Cannon through to the West (and working on the East) so you can hit a red light

On the way to work once I saw a bike cop hiding in the shadows toward the end of the strip, haven't sped there since ... only saw one that one time though.
