96 Lumina INPUT NEEDED!!!

Ive read a lot on here tonight haha.
Recently i noticed my coolant light has been coming on right after i fill the overflow tank.my heat was also not working. and we noticed when we turned the ac on the fans were not working. my car ALMOST overheated the other day but thankfully it did not. I took it to a garage to get it looked at. he noticed the leak coming out of the Intake Gasket, which i have read is a common problem for my engine (3.1 L) there is no coolant in the oil which is good. the leak is external.he had put two tablets in my fluid said it would seal the leak for the time being. he said usually it will seal it for 200,000 miles. the job is about a 500 dollar job. since he has put the tablets in my car, no apparent leak. my coolant isnt draining out of the overflow like it did before and my temp is staying where it should be.

my question is, if my car isnt about to overheat, temp is fine, no coolant in the oil is it ok to drive until those problems show again?

thanks.

Not to worry you, but to me, a stop leak additive in a area that was leaking where it "might" possibly get into the oil if it starts again, would worry me to death, mainly because it IS a tempoary fix, and the leak WILL eventually get going again, and you might find coolant in your oil long after it has already did its damage, i would be checking oil every day.
