LEDs brighter?

who makes the brightest LEDs?

i plan on replacing all my lights with LEDs (turn signals, brake, dome, 3rd-brake, etc.), but according to superbrightLEDs.com LEDs aren't as bright as filament bulbs.
i still plan on changing them, but i'd rather buy the brightest i can get.

also, if i have colored lenses (ex. red brake light lense), should i get bulbs that are the same color (ex. red bulbs for red lense)? i am getting conflicting information, some say i should get white bulbs for colored lenses, or colored bulbs for clear lenses, but superbrightLEDs.com states i should get red bulbs for red brake light lenses.

i basically want the brightest LED setup i can get.

Re: LEDs brighter?

I'm satasfied with my LEDs from superbrightleds.com

They're not fantastically bright but they're bright enough. I haven't seen anything that's actually any brighter. Don't put a white LED behind colored lenses, it'll look funky and you're losing brightness. White bulbs behind colored lenses are okay, but I use colored bulbs anyway.

Don't expect to replace front turn signals with LEDs, because the brightness of the headlights will defeat them, you'll probably need to stick to bulbs. Worth trying if you've got the cash I suppose though, you can always return them.
