No motor noises at all? If you hear motor noises, but the seat doesnt move, your cables have pulled out of the motor. Pretty simple fix really. I'm in the middle of a fix of my 92 735iL.

Re: Electric seat not working

Mike,

Any luck with the seat removal? I have a 1992 735iL with a bad computer. I bought a new one, but cannot get to it without moving the seat. How did you finally resolve your repair?

You talking about the unit under the seat? I believe you can get replacements for that.

I just repaired a cable problem and it was quite a bear. Take the two star bolts out of the back base rail and the seat will tilt forward, allowing you to unhook it from the front. Then you can lay the seat back onto the back seat and reach that electronic unit down there.
