hope you can help, cause I am stumped...

99 mustang gt manual with 58k and all of a sudden the car starts bucking when i have the AC on. I first thought my tranny was going but when i shut off the AC the car drove fine.

i have no idea what this could be so any help would be greatly appreciated.

thank you

my buddie's 351 bronco did this too when the ac pully axel was bent which caused the whole accessory belt to slip, bend and go haywire when the ac was turned on.

a/c problem

if you have a jingiling sound come from your engine that kinda veries or isn't always there and when you turn on your a/c it makes a rumble-tumble something is moving in there noise and then jerks your car a round or it could also make a loud stuck on some thing noise
then it's your a/c clutch
which would be one of the bottom pulleys for your serpentine belt
because it's illegal to expose refridgerant into the atmosphere and you'll probably die it's less expensive to change both your a/c clutch and your compressor (i know that make almost no sense)
the reason is because if you just replace the clutch the place where you buy it at by law has to go into your a/c compressor and they have to deal with the freeon
but if you buy them both theres a thing that'll come with it that attaches to you recharge port and suck out all that crap

try talking to a mechanic and suggesting the idea that your a/c clutch maybe going out
