i was referring to the longtails...which were built 8 years ago, in 1997. technically i should have said 9 considering the fact that 19r was built in 96, but as a 97 model... so i said 8

Arch extenders? Interesting interpretation. I took it to mean the extension in front of the rear wheel arches since they were talking about the sides vs the entire rear.

Considering GM's background in racing.... From a racers viewpoint, if it works better.. then its beautiful thing. lol.

It'll be interesting to see, launched 11 years on, whether Bugatti will prove capable of finding enough buyers of their similarly priced and exquisitely detailed Veyron to their maintain their anticipated 6 year build run ... a slight variance in the stock market could bring that one to a grinding halt.

I had these same Veyron thoughts kicking around in my head as I wrote that stuff last night. Not to drag this discussion too far off line (or further than it already has been) but a recent article states that 3 of 5 Veyron test models at the press intro ended up on the sidelines. Not a good sign...
