Repeating "humming" sound

Just a few minutes from home today my car started making this loud steady repeating humming noise. It seems to be coming from my front left tire. It first made me think my tire was flat. That's the kind of sound it's making. But, the tire isn't flat..it isn't even low. Any help as to what this could be?

Re: Repeating "humming" sound

the wheel bearings or the brakes pads or brake rotor could be warped

Only hear loud griding....other times even when not braking I hear the humming sound. Nothing "feels" any different.

Check your cv boots on that side for damage. Could also be a front hub bearing. Good luck
