94 cherokee sport diagnostic codes

My check engine light comes on (ocassionaly) on '94 Cherokee Sport...I did the code check (according to Haynes) by turing ignition on and off 3 times..Here is what I read:

Code 36 --- ???????
Code 51--- oxygen sensor (sensor or need new maifold?)
Code 55 --- end of code read

Anyone know of what code 36 is? Haynes did not have it listed..Also, I know my temp coolent sensor is broke..(I broke it installing a new one)..Could this be the code 36 since my temp gauge does not work?....Thanks,Pete44

The code 36 isn't in chilton . the code 51 is a Air/fuel at limit--Oxygen sensor signal input indicates LEAN air/fuel ratio during engine operation. This condition can be affected by temp. coolant sensor gauge Dale [email protected]

Thanks Dale..I'll focus on fixing the coolent temp sensor for now and maybe that will cure my problem...thanks again,Pete44

The '93 FSM shows no code 36 either.
