How to r/r ball joints

I have a buddy with a S10/95/4WD/6CYL who needs ball joints.

I am a corvair guy, so I have some auto experience, but not much with new cars.

Where can I go to get the procedure to remove and install ball joints on his truck.

Thanks to all.

Jack up tire
Remove wheel

Pull Cotterpin for castle nut on the upper joint

Remove castle nut w/ 3/4" box wrench

Use a pickle fork to seperate the ball joint from the steering knuckle

Using a grinder, dremmel, drill or what have you, remove the 4 rivets holding the ball joint from the control arm.

Assemble and Install the new ball joint with the provided nuts/bolts. Use 8mm box wrench to install new grease zirk that is provided with joint.

Jack up the lower control arm so that the steering knuckle meets the new ball joint.

Install newly provided castle nut. Hand crank down as tight as you can.

Install cotter pin

GREASE BALL JOINT

Put wheel back on (torque down in cross pattern)

Put car back on ground

Drive

Go have beer

Find hookers

Have a party

Wake up the next day with a hang over

Explain to significant other that nothing happened...

Repeat as necessary

You have to loosen the tension on the torsion bars or it will be a big pain trying to take it apart and put it back together. Take your time and follow your manual.

You don't need to release the tension on the torsion bar to remove the upper control arm.
