engine

I am not sure this is the right site.

I am not familiar about the car engines.

Would anyone tell the types of the engines.

Sounds like you need to learn a little bit more about cars than the engines... and btw this is the exterior section, not the engine/mechanical section...

This is the Engineering/technical forum... not exterior. There are Three types of piston style motors: Inline, V, and Opposed. There is also another type that does not use the conventional piston that is called a Wankle, commonly refered to as rotory. There may be more, but these are the ones commonly seen in automotive use.
