Error Codes..where are you

Well, my gf caterra went into the shop today because the check engine light came on. It went to local mechanic who has never had a problem working on it before. He has pulle doff the codes and change dmutliple things that has gone wrong, namely the coils and O2 sensor. However, this time he says that he can not pull the error code off (lie there was no number) and does not know why the check engine light came on. He tried to reset it, but the light came on (supposedly).


The sysptoms off the car were that it was running hot and the back seat vent would blow a little hot air out. the mechanic checked out the engine...said it was fine, checked out the cooling system (what he could get to, not the back seat) said it was fine. Last time I checked it had around 50k miles on it, and I wa swondering if this is one of those stupid enviomental sensors that go off at a certain mileage. I just dont want to take it to the dealership for some stupid shit and pay the outragous costs.

Any Ideas
