HI, I'M HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MY JEEP. SAME MODEL. I TRIED REPLACING THE POWER CONTROL MODULE, BUT IT DIDN'T FIX IT. BEFORE I TAKE IT INTO THE DEALER AND SPEND SOME BUCKS, I'M HOPING YOU MIGHT HAVE FOUND THE ROOT OF THE PROBLEM? I HEARD IT MIGHT BE A FUSE, BUT I DON'T HAVE FUSE DIAGRAM - OR OWNERS MANUAL. I HOPE YOU MANAGED TO FIX YOUR TRUCK! THANKS FOR ANY ADVICE YOU CAN PASS ON. |

On the pre 90s'there is a CHIME MODULE.This is what is "binging".On th 89'you can remove the CHIME MODULE,it is located in the lower left side of the fuse panel.

Unfortunately, this only opens up a whole new group of problems, including no power locks, interior lights or any accessories working. REmoving the chimer only disrupts the circuit. And I already replaced the box too, so it wasn't the problem, anyway. Thanks, though. I appreciate the suggestion! |
