Lamborghini Murcielago 40 Anniversary

Hello All:
Well I failed to complete my Sauber C9 project for the LeMans contest, and here is the reason, I had a compromise to enter an special class in a local contest, and build this baby which required several modifications to put it close to the real one:
I built the 40 Anniversary version, which I found very interesting and love the color, the assimetrical interior color scheme is also nice.
I modified the chassis to move the wheels to its correct position, corrected the windshield leveled to the body surface, engraved the window frame which goes in carbon fiber, added the AcuStion photoetched set, fixed the headlamps, the interiors were fully detailed, the engine bay was heavily modified as well.

The paint its Cobra Colors: tricoat Vert Artemis, awesome paints, and thanks Leon for your great help, it came very easy to a happy end
And thanks also to Phill, he gave great help on the engine.

And here go the pics, they're a little on the dark side, I'm going to get new ones with better light, in the meantime...

I'm working in the building process, I'll post it latter, it's long.

I cut the whole rear section of the chassis to correct the height and position of the rear axle, at the front I separated the A arms from the suspension assembly and added 2.5 mm extensions to each one, the spindles where modified to correct height.

The mirrors were relocated cutting the body, the window frames were engraved and covered with carbon fiber decal, I left the door windows open, so added a little clear acetate to simulate the window in the lowest position.

The windshield wiper was made of almost ten parts using the arms of the plastic included in the kit, with the rest made with the PE set and some plastic and thin metal sheet for the air deflector and linkages.

The wheel centers are PE parts covered with gold metal foil, paint detailed and covered with clear resin, I cut the small triangular opening for the blinker.

The rear part was heavily modified to fix the body around the rear lights, I glued the rear fascia to make things easier, and perforated the fans, since they are visible through the photoetched grilles, I made a clear cover for the rear lights also, to get the correct look, the heat shield over the exhaust tips was also removed and replaced with a plastic one.

The engine received a complete carbon fiber treatment, the intake manifold cover was separated to detail all the components, all the linkage for the accelerator was added, also scratchbuilt the engine heads and added wires, sensors, tubes, hoses, alternator, steering pump, pulleys, belt, and some bolts and details.

Hope you like it.

Wow. Gorgeous build, and I love the color. (I've always prefered Ferrari's to Lamborghini's, but the CobraColors selections are weakening my resolve!) Nice engine bay detailing, and very clean build!

That is the best image I've ever seen. The flags in the window make it look so damn real!

You should also make a scale dealer price sticker and put it in the window!

Those are outside, look at the trees, clouds, and flags reflections in the paint. It's just so beautiful and realistic.
