Question daytime running lights no longer work

My daytime running lights have stopped working. The headlights (including highbeams) are working fine. The dash light says they are on but they aren't. I've had an issue with the internal lights for a while now and but the shop hasn't been able to determine the issue. Can they be related? I've checked the fuses and nothing seems to be wrong. the other day my tail light went out. When I went to change the bulb I saw it wasn't the bulb but the socket itself was blown. Anyone have this issue?

What year is your Sub? If it's a '99 is it the old or new body style?

OK, this is good. Power to the DRL's comes from the "DRL-FOG" fuse (it may look good but try replacing it anyway). After that is the DRL diode, which just reduces voltage to the low beams for daylight running. It's located to the right side of the steering column support, part of the I/P harness. Look for two wires, Orange & Yellow. Next is the relay located in the convenience center bottom center position. The relay and dash DRL indicator lamp are powered by the "gauges" fuse and controlled by the DRL module. If you pull the relay out, check for 12v (hot at all times) at the top left pin. No power there would be fuse, diode or wiring. If power's there it's the relay, module, light switch or wiring. The only common I see with DRL's and interior lights is the light switch itself.

Summary: 1)fuse, 2)diode, 3)relay, 4)module, 5)light switch, 6)wiring.
